The way nasal strips (or nose strips or breathing strips, as some people call them) work is relatively simple. Within each Breathe Right nasal strip are flexible, "spring-like" bands. On the underside is a special adhesive that, when placed properly on the nose, gently sticks to the area right above the flare of each nostril. As the bands attempt to straighten back to their original shape, they gently lift the sides of the nose and open the nasal passages, providing immediate and continual relief. Which helps you breathe better – with no medicine and no waiting. When placed correctly, Breathe Right® nasal strips provide:
Relief from nasal congestion caused by colds or allergies
Better breathing for people with a deviated septum
Reduced snoring caused by nighttime nasal congestion
Applying Breathe Right nasal strips is quite simple. First, wash and thoroughly dry your nose. Moisture or makeup on your nose can limit how well the strip sticks. Next, peel the strip away from the liner, place it on your nose and press down to ensure it is on securely; pressing and rubbing for five to ten seconds is usually enough. Placing it properly on your nose is important in ensuring you achieve the correct results. As you can see, the strip should sit on the low middle area of your nose. Overnight, it is normal to see some slight lifting on the edges of the strip.
